Your First Training Session
What each session will look like is entirely going to depend on your trainer and program, this is just a very general overview to get you prepared but always remember to have an open mind.
Your first session might begin with a warm up designed to prepare you for activity. This might include dynamic stretching, light cardio, and movement specific to. your specific sport.
The main portion focuses on either skill development or performance work, depending on your program. You can expect your trainer to demonstrate things, provide corrections, and offer encouragement throughout the session.
It will probably end with a brief cool down and check in period, where your trainer might provide a bit of feedback on what they observed or what’s coming in future sessions.
After your first session
It’s common to feel sore after your first session, especially if you’re new to regular training. This is totally normal and a part of your body getting used to it. Be sure to stretch, hydrate, and get enough rest before your next session.
Don’t be discouraged if everything doesn’t click immediately. Both skill and performance development take time, what matters is showing up and giving honest effort.
Building from here
Your first session is just the beginning! Consistency transforms potential into performance. Trust the process, communicate with your trainers, and remember why you started, whether that’s improving your game, making new friends, or building confidence. You’ve got this!
